The Huggleumph
One day I was walking deep into the forest next to my house with Flower, my golden retriever. I had heard rumors around my school that there was a mysterious creature somewhere in the forest, that’s why the house had been empty for many years. Some people believed that the creature ate them others believe that they were scared away by him, but I wanted to see it.
As I got deeper and deeper into the forest it got darker and darker. Flower whined, turning in circles as if she wanted to go back but to bring me with her. I told her, “No, I’m not going back now! “ She whined again, “Come on it will be ok.” I assured her.
As soon as I looked up there it was. A gigantic cave stood before me. I heard a snoring sound from inside. Then I shouted,” HELLO!?!?!?!?” The sound stopped. Suddenly I saw two glowing, red eyes staring right at me. Something bellowed,” Who dares to enter my cave?”
“P-Pe-Pen-Penguinnator,” I stuttered.
“What do u want?” he answered.
“I just wanted to see if the rumors were true about you.“ I said, “Say would u mind coming into the light so I can see you?”
“Fine,” he answered.
As he walked towards the entrance Flower started to growl, “It’s ok Flower. I hope.”
There he was; I could see every detail of him. He must have been at least two times taller than me and about ten feet long! His red, beady eyes were right below his golden horns upon his head. Along his scaly body and at the tip of his tail was a spiky ball. And on the end of his feet were the claws of a bear!
“Can I ask what your name is?” I questioned.
“I am the Huggleumph.” he answered.
“Huggleumph, interesting,” I said
“You’ve asked me questions, studied my details, and woken me from my sleep. Now be gone!!”
